I took some meth with a mate a while ago & he said it would be good to help me sleep which it worked well. I still didint go to sleep but I think it helped with the sketchy feeling which is why i dont like meth. yes to some extent in lower does you will get primarily sedative effects.
Anyways I get a bit of insomnia & I took doxylamine for that sometimes or temazepam yet I find the doxylamine stronger for it's purpose. 25-200mg higher dosages are used for treating psychiatric conditions like bipolar and schizophrenia So its not to say that a 600mg dose won't be sedating, especially to someone who is not used to taking it.
Some sedatives can cause psychological and physical dependence when taken regularly over a period of time, even at therapeutic doses.
Dependent users may get withdrawal symptoms ranging from restlessness and insomnia to convulsions and death.
Although sedatives do not relieve pain in themselves, they can be a useful adjunct to analgesics in preparing patients for surgery, and are commonly given to patients before they are anaesthetized, or before other highly uncomfortable and invasive procedures like cardiac catheterization, colonoscopy or MRI.
Grave and sedate, as if knowing the sorrowful thoughts of his master. The term “antihistamine” generally is used to describe those medications that antagonize histamine activity at H1 receptors. Currently the only FDA-approved histamine antagonist medications block the effects of histamine at H1 or H2 receptor sites.Sedatives can be misused to produce an overly-calming effect (alcohol being the classic and most common sedating drug). In the event of an overdose or if combined with another sedative, many of these drugs can cause unconsciousness (see hypnotic) and even death.I would honestly recommend you find a better drug for comedowns. I had answered the same exact question the very same day, I was kinda irritated Yeah, 12.5-50mg is best for sleep, as it doesn't act as an anti-psychotic at that dosage, but rather as a sedating anti-cholinergenic, in which case Doxylamine gives similar anti-cholingergenic effects without the shitstorm of side effects Seroquel will bring you.
